SAGA GIS is a Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and is licenced under the GNU General Public License except for its Application Programming Interface (API), which is licenced under the GNU Lesser General Public License lizensiert ist.

LASERDATA supports SAGA development as a funding member of the SAGA User Group Association and actively contributes to SAGA core development.

From time to time, LASERDATA provides SAGA binary packages build from SVN (SAGA's source code repository on sourceforge.net). These SVN snapshots allow you to keep up with software development and bug fixing without the need to compile SAGA yourself.
